Service Clubs, Organizations, Groups, Individuals!

Are you a member of a service club, church, scout troop, or other group interested in becoming involved with our programs to help the homeless? Maybe you are an individual looking for ways to participate. There are many ways you can help!

These are just a few ideas on ways you can get involved.

We do hold Weekend Assembly Days. Volunteers assemble the packets and fill the CarePacks, getting them ready for distribution. If your group, club, organization, or even group of friends, would like to participate, please get in touch with us and let us know you would like to sign up for a slot!

Organize a drive in your area to collect:

-- Food items (individually sized in original packaging)

-- Personal care items (new, sealed items only)

-- New items of clothing such as socks, t-shirts, rain ponchos

Plan a Movie Night, a Game Night, a Car Wash -- with the "admission price" being a new package of men's socks,  an XL men's t-shirt, pull-top cans of ready to eat pasta, etc.

Do you knit, crochet, sew? Maybe you belong to a craft group? How about a project to make scarves, hats, fingerless gloves, or individual-sized blankets?

Even young children can make simple fleece scarves for the colder months. All that's needed is the fleece fabric and a pair of scissors! This is an easy project and the end product not only looks nice, but it is so warm and soft!

Cool Ties are great for the hot summer months, and are easy to sew. There are a number of ways to make these - one link for directions can be found at www.organizedhome.com/cool-tie-beat-heat-simple-sewing-project

Do you have an idea not included here?

Please contact us. We'd love to discuss it with you!
